How to Multiply Your Ideas with the Idea Prism

Without being repetitive or boring

Think of a rough diamond.

At first glance, it’s just an ordinary rock. But with careful cutting and polishing, it reveals countless facets. Each facet uniquely reflects and bends light, creating a dazzling sparkle.

Now, imagine you could do the same with your ideas.

When you shine a light on a single idea from different angles, you can multiply it into many unique pieces. Each one catches your audience's attention, much like the sparkling facets of a diamond.

It's a powerful approach.

Not only because it helps keep your content fresh. But also because you save time and attract more followers without constantly scrambling for new ideas.

Unfortunately, many creators struggle to present their ideas in novel ways. They think every post needs to be new. So they start from scratch and get overwhelmed by the volume of content they need to create.

But there's a simple solution to this problem.

Multiply Your Ideas with the Idea Prism

The Idea Prism transforms a single idea into many engaging pieces of content, much like a real prism turns light into a spectrum of colors.

Let's create 7 posts with different angles based on my previous newsletter about the Hub and Spoke model.

Story

Share a personal story that ties back to your main topic. Stories connect with people and make your content more relatable.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What personal experience relates to this idea?
  • When did you first learn about this concept and how did it impact you?
  • Can you recall a specific moment when this idea changed your perspective?

Listicle

Create a list of tips, tricks, or tools related to your idea. Listicles are easy to read and share and often give clear, actionable advice.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What are the main tips or tricks related to this idea?
  • Can you break it down into easy steps or a simple strategy?
  • What tools or resources have helped you with this idea?

Analogy

Use a comparison to explain your idea in a way that’s easy to understand. Analogies make complex ideas simpler and more relatable.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What everyday object or situation is similar to this idea?
  • How can this comparison make the idea easier to understand?
  • What are the key similarities between the analogy and your idea?

Prediction

Forecast trends or developments related to your idea. Predictions position you as a forward-thinker and keep your content relevant.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What future trends do you see related to this idea?
  • How do you think this concept will evolve in the next few years?
  • What upcoming challenges or opportunities could affect this idea?

Contrarian

Offer an opposing view to a widely held belief or practice. Contrarian posts catch people’s attention and get them talking.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What common belief or practice can you challenge with this idea?
  • Why do you disagree with the widely held belief?
  • What evidence or reasoning supports your contrarian view?

Case Study

Analyze a real-life example or success story to illustrate your points. Case studies provide real evidence and make your content more believable.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • Who has used this idea successfully?
  • What specific results did they achieve?
  • How did they put this idea into action?

Observation

Share a unique insight or perspective on your topic. Observations highlight your expertise and give your audience a new way to think about an idea.

Here's an example:

Ask yourself:

  • What unique insight have you noticed about this idea?
  • How does this observation set you apart from others?
  • What evidence or examples support your observation?

Recycling content isn’t lazy. It’s strategic.

Use the Idea Prism to make the most of every post.
